Atlantic Signal is pleased to announce we have teamed with the nation’s premier Federal Grant Consulting Company, Dynamic International, to assist you, the Public Safety Operator, locate and qualify for grant funding for the complete line of Atlantic Signal tactical headsets, options and accessories.

Federal Grant Funding Programs were established after September 11, 2001, to tighten security and pay for equipment and training. Since 2002, billions of dollars have been made available to state, local and tribal agencies to enhance the nation’s ability to prevent, protect against, respond to and recover from terrorist attacks, major disasters and other emergencies.

As an example, in fiscal 2009, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will award more than $3 billion in grants to states, urban areas and transportation authorities under 14 programs to bolster national preparedness capabilities and protect critical infrastructure.

It is important to note, you should exhaust all other fiscal avenues prior to beginning the grant application process as there are no guarantees your request will be awarded. Additionally, funding can take anywhere from 6 months to 2 years to be awarded – if your department’s need for tactical communications is crucial and time-sensitive, it may be best to apply for grant funding for less critical equipment needs and utilize available budget or seizure funds for your communications equipment purchase.

It is equally important to understand how our assistance program works – we do NOT write a grant request for you. Following an initial email exchange and phone conversation with one of our Grant Assistance team members – you will be provided information available on grants for our communications equipment including key information available on the internet.

You will also be provided a guideline on what you are expected to research and provide in the way of information to substantiate and justify your need for our equipment. You should not expect a simple process – there is work and research expected of you to qualify for the funding – as well there should be; however, this is a tremendous opportunity for those willing to dedicate the time and effort required.
