The ACH models are the new authorized U.S. Military replacement headsets for the previously used MICH models. Our wide range of custom push-to-talk assemblies, options and accessories allow you to fully customize your particular headset model choice. Choose from 9 different models of PTT assemblies for the single comm versions of COM-TAC II and ACH and 3 models of PTT assemblies for the dual comm headset versions. COM-TAC ACH - DUAL COMM - Military Communications HeadsetThe COM-TAC ACH is the 3rd generation of COM-TAC Military Communication Headsets. The new and modified ear cup profile was designed specifically for the ACH (Advanced Combat Helmet) for improved fit and comfort and is the choice for MICH replacement by the United States military. The COM-TAC ACH features a padded, vertical frame design, combining ambient environment amplification, electronic hearing protection and two–way radio transmit and receive capabilities in one package. The Dual Comm COM-TAC II provides monitoring of two different portables simultaneously. Dual ear cup microphones, when activated via waterproof touchpad located on headset, provide an operator with the ability to amplify and hear voices and sounds within 360 degrees of his ambient environment. Built in suppression electronics instantaneously activate, providing a NRR of 21 dB, when harmful impact noises occur within an operator’s environment above 82 dBa. Advanced electronic design allows improved audio communication through a two way radio even when batteries fail, although the transmit capability is eliminated until the batteries are replaced. Each ear cup features a waterproof housing intended to hold a single AAA Alkaline battery designed to provide over 500 hours of operational use. Both ear seals feature liquid/gel comfort for extended wear. A flexible, noise canceling boom microphone is included as well. The COM-TAC ACH Dual Comm is built to military and environmental ballistic standards to ensure reliability in a harsh war environment.
